| Kiteya represents a collaboration of traditional culture and innovative concept from Kyoto, Japan featuring origami crafts and gifts. We offer an experience of new Kyoto culture in SoHo, New York. You will find a gathering of different materials such as fabric, paper, and wrought iron products. Yumemiya makes each of our hand-made products with our heart. Yumemiya’s products are combination of Japanese traditional patterns with contemporary designs.Begun in 1975, as an Atelier focusing on dyed flower creation, Yumemiya evolved throughout the years making dress ribbons, and raised cloth pictures of Chirimen (Japanese crepe) workmanship. In the early 1990's Yumemiya began expanding into more types of goods in the Japanese market, resulting in the collection of items available today. Yumemiya is based in the city of Uji, in the prefecture of Kyoto. Uji is known for old traditions, green tea production and some very beautiful shrines.
